What's Happenin...?

Wow, school's crazy after spring break. I already forgot a lot of things I did for SPring Break, but maybe that's because I didn't really do anything. I finally went painballing. Now that was fun. I still have bruises from the paintballs from Spring Break. That was like over a week ago. For not doing much over spring break, I sure spent a lot of money. Oh yea, we went clubbing for Peter's birthday. Club Pure isn't open on Thursday (yea, it's gay), so we go to Rain .... Ughh. haha. We should've just gone clubbing on Friday. Oh wells. I danced with a lot of girls that night. I also got hella drunk. I probably took at least 14 shots and a few beers. The 151 gets me all the time hehe. I haven't danced with that many girls in .... a long time actually ahha. One girl.. she was crazy and wild ... I won't really talk about that haha unless privately ahha. That was actually a hella fun night. I felt like throwing up after, but I didn't. I can't really throw up, but sometimes I wish I could haha. Man, I've been neglecting my website. I had a virus in my computer right before spring break. Ever since, all this spyware's been on my computer. What the hell is going on? Well I've reformatted like 5 times, geez. Now school's on again, and I have no time to update it. I don't even have time for my gallery, the only thing that's really done on my site. Well I had time last weekend, but my monitor's on the fritz. I'm trying to fix that right now. Oh boy, computers. Good thing I know a little about them or I'd hate it more than I already do. Well I had more to talk about, but I guess I can save it for next time. Too much studying to do. Peace out my brothers and sisters hehehe

The start of Spring Break

Last night, some of us ended up at PT's Gold pretty late. Nope, no four of a kinds this week. I can't believe I got 2 of them the past week. Well anyways, We just got drunk and then went back to Cho's apartment and played Psoi Dos til like 4:30 in the morning. Then David Cho calls me up at 9:30 a.m. and asks me if I still want to play the tournament. I'm pretty groggy because of the lack of sleep, but I get the will to get up and go to his apartment. We ended up getting there maybe around 10:30 I guess. We're still alternates. Time to get there earlier. Well there were 60 people in the tournament. I ended up as 6th place. Woo Hoo! kinda ... ahha. It was in my grasp to get at least 3rd, but I didn't play the hand I wanted to. Oh wells. Chicken shit me. So tiring today though. I went home for a little. I was so hungry too. I didn't eat til like 6pm the night before. So I ended up eating at Port of Subs with Billy, Kwon, David Cho, Jinju, and Charlie. This is at like 4:30 damn it. That's at least 22 hours of not eating. Then I had to go eat with my relatives for my Grandma's birthday. I went to David's apartment first to play psoi dos haha. Then after I ate with my relatives, I went to go meet up Chris, Susan, and Phil at Firefly's. Susan was tired so Chris took her home. I went to HardRock with Phil. We got a drink and looked for girls haha. I didn't find any haha. We ended up at PT's Gold. No four of a kinds still... damn it! I did hit a straight flush, but that shit didn't pay off that well. Oh wells. I almost hit a Royal Flush again! Man... it's going to happen. So is my lottery ticket.

Well I saw Gino's videography from Toni Cho's xanga. That stuff sucks. I seriously can make a better video. So easy. I mean, he has a better camera, but video editting, they need some work. Too corny for my taste.

Thought of the day: Poker books aren't that great. I mean, hopefully they give you the general idea of what to do in some situations, but I think they won't help much. Who cares if you read them. Some people read them and don't even really put it to use. Stupid.... David Cho read the Phil Hellmuth book, sorry to say, he got out with at least 30 players still in. Well I'll talk more about poker later. I'm tired for now. Have a fun spring break for those of you who are having it this week.

Halfway through the week

Oh yes! Damn, done with my tests for this week. 2 tests, a paper, another short paper all done! Tomorrow is a quiz, but that's ok, quizzes I can handle without worrying. Ridiculous week. So very tired. Not much to report than that. I took Kwon out to eat for his b-day, which was yesterday on the 8th. We ate at David Cho's restaurant, Tokyo Garden. I don't think we're going to enter the WPT tournament tonight. We're probably going next week which is the last week to enter. Well after Tokyo Garden, we all went to Starbucks next door. I saw a old friend from Jr. High. She was like "Did you go to Canon Jr. High?" I look up because I thought she was talking to David, but she was talking to me. I'm like "yea" She's like "You remember a girl named Sheena Eastman." Now why the hell do people even say that? ahha. First of all, it's obvious she's Sheena Eastman after she says that. What? Is she like asking for her friend or something? haha, but anyways, I remember her, and she looked pretty different. Not in a bad way. I didn't really talk to her though. She was a good friend, but c'mon, that was back in Jr. High. I should've though ahha, try to hang out with her and her white girlfriends. Yea she's white ahha. I mean, why not? How many girls does our group hang out with now a days? So sad. Well I got to watch a movie for my quiz tomorrow. Pahahha. It's like I'm doing some hw from high school or something. Watch a movie and take a quiz on it? What a faggot ass teacher. Oh wells, easy points I guess. I'd rather sleep though. So tired. Well ... Wish me luck on Friday, if you can hehe. I'll go out this weekend if we do anything haha. For now, peace out.

The weekend

I didn't do much this weekend. I went to go watch BeCool on Friday. That was a good movie. It had a lot of stars in it, but I was afraid since it did, it wouldn't e that great. You know how they just get a lot of stars to give the movie a kind of splash. This was actually good though. The Rock, Andre3000 were pretty funny. Vince Vaughn cracked me up in the beginning. Haha Cedric wasn't that bad either. I didn't watch Get Shorty, but I didn't need to. The story was a complete spin off sequel. Christina Milian is FOINE. I'm telling you, FOINE. The story wasn't too bad haha. Then we went to PT's for a little after we ate some Pho. David Cho hit a four of a kind and won $500. That was pretty crazy. He told me he hit a four of a kind at some small bar again later that night while he was waiting for his food at Roberto's. I played poker at David's after PT's. Moah and Andrew split the $95 pot. They kept catching cards on the river. Andrew played like a dumbass, but he still won. That's what happens when you get some luck. On Saturday, all I did was work, study, and watch some tv. Cho asked me to play some poker, but I told him I had to study. Since I didn't play, he went to PT's with Kwon, Phil, Moah, and i dunno who else. He told me today that him and his girl hit 4 four of a kinds each. They won like $1500. That's pretty crazy. Video Poker and hitting those? Geez. Kwon told me he hit a four of a kind too. He won $60. Man.. crazy place. I went to go eat at Pho again today with Kwon n Cho. After that, nothing but studying til now. I'm just writing. Tests and Tests and Papers due this week. OMG, it's crazy. I can't wait til this weekend. I won't have any tests next week, and I won't have to study as hard. Damn school. I can't wait to finish and get my career started. Well can't wait til Spring Break. Two more weeks! Yea baby, yeaa... haha Austin Powers. Later Amigos.

The game of Poker Part I

Everyone knows that I love playing some Texas Hold 'Em. I'm not a professional or anything, but I have won my share of pots. Now reading people isn't just about noticing movements and reckognizing facial expressions, but it's about reading a person's bet too. Trying to reckognize the style of play from someone should become 2nd nature if you want to get better at Poker. Here's a few types of betters. I'll describe them in my own Presidential Poker Styles

We have:

The Richard Nixon (Bluffer) - Plays the cards he has as if he always has something good which is the correct way to bluff, however, the player bluffs a little too often. When a little pressure is put on this player, he tends to bluff more and continue on, maybe even to the end. If he bluffs to the end, usually he's in a position where he doesn't have to show his cards "I am not a crook", but you just know he is.

The George Washington - "I cannot lie" says George Washington, in the imaginary story of him chopping down a cherry tree. The same goes to these type of players. They cannot bluff. They tend to only look for good hands. Whenever they do bet, everyone else folds unless of course, another person has a very good hand. Then from there we'll see a showdown. These are the easiest people to read.

The George W. Bush - The confused player. He doesn't really know what he's doing, so then how are we supposed to know what he's doing? Can be very dangerous to a couple players from the group, but the overall outcome, he'll probably lose.

The Bill Clinton - This player plays a really good game. He plays fairly well in the aspect of betting, playing the right cards, and not giving off a tell in his facial expressions. He can also bluff pretty well too. However, this player can rouse up some suspicion at some rare moments. If this person gets caught bluffing on those rare occasions, he might of gotten himself into a lot of trouble. He can however make a comeback.

The Thomas Jefferson - This guy plays it by the book. You won't see much change in his style. He'll play it this way to the end. Conservative.

The Andrew Johnson - This guy makes an attempt to play, but man oh man, he's going to take a hard fall. This type of player is what we call "Dead Money." They kind of have the sense to play and tries to do the right thing, but a more aggressive player can just take this guy down. You could feel sorry for this player, but it's actually the type of player you want to play with. He's pretty much ensuring that he's giving his money to whoever wins.

There's a few more, and I'll edit these with a couple more. I just don't have time to write them. Keep them in mind though. End of Part I

Thw Weekend's over

Yep, it's Sunday. So officially the weekend isn't over, but it is for me. Man, I got a test on Tuesday, and I have a paper to write. This weekend, I barely got any studying done. It's always a trade off in my situation, get a lot of studying done, or have a lot of fun. Where's the median? Well yesterday, I could've studied, but I had a pretty bad hangover from Friday night at Pure. Man... I'm not going to drink like that in a long time. I get home by like 5:30, and I wake up at like 7 to try to throw up a little, but I can't. It's pretty hard to throw up unless I go really extreme. Well I wake up by 10 feeling the hangover still. I try to study a bit, but there wasn't any chance of success. Then I go to work until 9. I'm just like really tired after that, but what do I do? I end up playing poker at David Cho's house haha. I feel like I wanna pass out at his house. It was kind of hard to concentrate. However, I end up winning the biggest pot we had in our poker game. $95 hehe Yay! No 2nd place either since I ended up taking both David Kwon and Andrew Yim out. Wow, I guess it was worth it to play. It's pretty surprising how rusty you can get when you don't play poker for a while. The last couple times of getting 3rd was pretty wack haha. It's the few mental mistakes, and few wrong bets that made me lose. So I'm happy with my play. hehe my records: Longest winning streak of 4 which still stands, and biggest pot.... so far, but eventually I think it'll be bigger so this record won't last. One aspect of my game... I got to know when I shouldn't rebuy. It's more control to not gamble more than anything else. Well time to study, I had too much fun over the weekend haha.

The Mid-weekend

Well so far, I didn't get any studying done. Yesterday, I went to enter a poker tournament at Sunset Station. It was at 11a.m. There were about 50 people there. I got 5th place and $120 haha. It took about 3 hours. I didn't even see who won, but I didn't realy care since I didn't know them. I went with David Kwon. David Cho was supposed to go, but he flaked on us giving us some bad excuse. Kwon finished in 11th. Damn, he was almost at the final table. 3 hours of play, not too bad, but I was ready to get out of there. We woke up early to eat and stuff.
We went clubbing at Pure last night. We went to go drink at Ellis Island first. Guess where all my poker winnings went. Yup, buying drinks up the wazoo for everyone. It's cool though. I got a few drinks from a lot of people too. We had a big group with us. Eli, Naomi, Clark, Chris, Moah, David C. David K, Phil, Billy, Suzi, Nora, and the most unexpected girls, Gloria and Eunji. I was like eww. Well I danced with like Nora, Suzi and Naomi in the beginning for a lil, but I can't be doing that the whole night. We went to go look for some other girls. Mission - kind of successful. I'd write more, but I have a small hangover. I can't really concentrate haha. I might re-edit this later so I'll keep you guys updated
